Case Study: Bouygues Energies & Services gains remote access to building data with Wattsense

In less than a week, Bouygues Energies & Services had remote access to 4,000 properties of an office building

Bouygues Energies & Services, a global player in energy and facilities management, needed to remotely access building data to optimize energy consumption and user comfort for its clients. The traditional integration of Building Management Systems (BMS) was often too lengthy and costly for this purpose. They partnered with vendor Wattsense to test its connectivity solution, which consists of an on-site Box and a cloud service.

Wattsense implemented its solution on a 3,900 m² office building. Their team installed the Box on-site in half a day, connecting to the existing, aged BMS. Wattsense then remotely accessed and listed 4,000 data properties from the building's equipment. This provided Bouygues Energies & Services with remote, non-intrusive access to critical data, allowing them to quickly begin sending clients detailed monthly performance reports and develop new energy optimization strategies.
