The customer, Å Energi, through its solution SmartEO, faced the challenge of affordably accessing reliable energy data from existing building infrastructures to enhance its energy efficiency services. Wattsense provided its connectivity solution to help overcome this technical and data accessibility hurdle.

Wattsense implemented its Bridge, a multi-protocol connectivity product, which was installed in buildings to collect data from ModBus, BacNet, and M-bus equipment. This gave SmartEO the detailed data needed for quality assurance and data reconstruction, allowing them to correct errors and calculate consumption with high accuracy. For example, Wattsense enabled SmartEO to identify a meter that had been incorrectly reporting data for over 200 days and reconstruct the accurate consumption figures.
