Calidity deployed its solution into two buildings in two days and saved millions in R&D

Calidity, an Estonian cleantech startup, faced a challenge in deploying its cloud-based building management software. The development of its own connectivity tool for building management systems (BMS) was consuming excessive R&D time and raising costs, distracting from its core software product. To overcome these technical and financial hurdles, Calidity turned to the Wattsense service.

By implementing the Wattsense connectivity solution, which includes an easy-to-install Box and a cloud service, Calidity connected two buildings in just two days without external help. This allowed them to monitor building assets and collect critical data for energy efficiency. Using Wattsense saved Calidity millions in R&D costs, enabled them to focus on their core software, and led to a collaborative open-source project between the two companies.
