Eltek Transforms Field Failures Into Streamlined Production

Eltek, a Norwegian industrial electronics company that makes power supply systems for telecom customers, was struggling with costly production errors, limited test visibility, and paper-based records as it shifted manufacturing to China. Missing fault data led to shipped units with potential failures, creating warranty risk and slow issue resolution.

WATS implemented an automated testing and data collection system across Eltek’s global production sites, connecting more than 400 test machines and centralizing test and repair data in real time. With WATS, Eltek cut warranty claims from 3% to 1%, improved first pass yield to 99%, reduced resolution time by 95% from 20 days to under one day, and saves around $1 million annually.
