Citrofrut - Customer Case Study

Citrofrut, a Mexican agro-industrial company specializing in fruits and fruit-based products, needed a better way to gather, centralize, and understand local water risk data across its sites so it could set realistic yet ambitious water targets. The company’s sustainability team faced challenges accessing reliable watershed data, especially in locations with limited public information, and needed a more contextual approach to water stewardship. Waterplan’s water risk and data platform was used to help address these issues.

With Waterplan, Citrofrut centralized internal and external water data, assessed local risks at two sites, and established contextual water targets tailored to each location’s watershed and regulatory conditions. The solution improved access to high-quality water data, reduced the time needed for analysis and reporting, and increased alignment between corporate and plant teams on the water strategy. Citrofrut has already set targets for two sites and plans to expand this approach across the rest of its operations, with Waterplan supporting continued progress.
