WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud Enables Theater to Evolve with Industry Standards

Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) needed a stronger, more secure wireless network to support modern cinema operations, including mobile point-of-sale systems, wireless film transfers between locations, and better guest Wi-Fi. Its previous infrastructure could not reliably cover all spaces or meet the demands of staff and visitors, prompting SIFF to look for a new solution from WatchGuard.

WatchGuard implemented Wi-Fi Cloud with AP320 access points to deliver cloud-managed, secure wireless coverage across SIFF’s locations. The new network now supports concessions, box office, staff systems, film transfers, and guest Wi-Fi, while WIPS protection helps defend against wireless threats with close to zero false positives. The improved connectivity increased staff productivity and customer satisfaction, and SIFF also plans to use WatchGuard’s cloud tools for splash pages, promotions, donations, and event engagement.
