WatchGuard Secures Holy See Pavilion at EXPO 2015

The Holy See needed a secure, reliable network for its pavilion at EXPO 2015 in Milan, where nearly two million visitors would pass through over six months. With vendors supplying surveillance, projection, and other production equipment, the organization had to protect operational systems, provide secure Internet access for administrators and suppliers, and separate guest Wi-Fi from internal networks. WatchGuard helped meet these needs with its XTM 330 firewall, AP100 access point, and Dimension reporting solution.

WatchGuard implemented segmented subnets for suppliers, operators, and guests, along with Mobile Office VPN access, dual wireless broadband connectivity, and a 4G failover line for continuity. The network was monitored around the clock, with real-time visibility and reporting used to manage operations throughout the event. According to The Holy See, WatchGuard delivered significant cost savings, detailed security policies, and effective protection across the full six-month exhibition.
