Safeguarding Elegance: WatchGuard Adds the Finishing Touches to Refurbished Kensington Hotel

Kensington Close Hotel, a 4-star deluxe hospitality property in London, needed to secure and manage a much larger, more complex network after its £45m refurbishment. With hundreds of guest rooms, conference spaces, and high-demand guest Wi-Fi, the hotel turned to WatchGuard and its Firebox M440 and AP200 products to deliver strong performance, security, and visibility without sacrificing service quality.

WatchGuard implemented the Firebox M440 with eight PoE ports and support for segmented networking, along with WatchGuard Dimension for traffic monitoring and reporting. The hotel gained secure, reliable high-capacity Wi-Fi for guests and meetings, plus clear visibility into bandwidth usage by access point, user, protocol, and port. Kensington Close Hotel reported that WatchGuard’s throughput, manageability, and ease of deployment were transformative, helping it meet speeds far beyond 54 Mbps and quickly pinpoint network pressure points.
