Outwood Grange Academies Trust, a Yorkshire-based education trust with 18 schools across the North of England, needed a more cost-effective way to secure its growing network while protecting students and staff online. With tight education budgets and separate school IT environments to manage, the trust wanted a simple, centralized security platform that could reduce complexity and spend.

WatchGuard provided Firebox appliances, including XTM 850, XTM 545, and Firebox M500 systems, giving OGAT a “single pane of glass” for managing security across sites. The deployment was described as seamless and is expected to save at least 40% versus similar appliances, while replacing multiple separate firewalls, web filters, and security tools across all 18 academies and helping protect around 16,000 students and staff.
