Eastern Regional Libraries, a government library network in APAC with 17 sites and about 120 staff, needed to modernize its aging, fully in-house IT setup while reducing a key point of failure and improving security without hurting patron experience. They turned to WatchGuard and its firewall platform to help protect growing Internet use across branches, mobile libraries, and public PCs.

WatchGuard partner WYSCOM deployed Firebox M200, T50, T30, and T10 appliances with WatchGuard Total Security Suite across all 17 sites, after auditing and migrating the existing firewall configurations to maintain continuity. The result was a smoother transition completed in one week, stronger gateway and endpoint protection, safer filtered Internet access for patrons, and better peace of mind for staff—especially around ransomware and ongoing threat management.
