A WatchGuard Case Study
Miller Paint Co., a 125-year-old retail company with 52 locations across Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, needed to replace an expensive, underperforming managed MPLS security setup. Network Manager Kevin Connell was frustrated by high monthly costs, bandwidth limits, slow support, and a solution that wasn’t meeting the company’s needs.
WatchGuard helped Miller Paint Co. deploy XTM 25-W firewalls at retail stores, an M300 with Wireless APs at headquarters, and Dimension for logging and reporting. The rollout was fast and simple, with minimal downtime, and the company saw far better bandwidth and lower latency after moving to Comcast broadband. WatchGuard delivered about $12,000 in monthly savings—roughly $150,000 a year, or $450,000 over three years—while also improving voice quality, PCI segmentation, and overall network visibility.
