Draper Tools, a UK distribution company with 450 employees, needed a more secure and manageable network to support corporate and guest Wi‑Fi, remote VPN access, and web access controls for employees. Its previous IBM firewall had inconsistent throughput and was difficult to configure, creating challenges for securing internal systems and separating guest traffic from company data.

WatchGuard implemented an M300 high-availability firewall pairing with UTM services including Intrusion Prevention Service, Application Control, Gateway AntiVirus, spamBlocker, and WebBlocker, along with Dimension for network visibility. The result was stronger network segmentation, better control over web traffic, improved management and support, and much higher performance than the old firewall, with the M300 delivering up to 146 Mbps UTM throughput and helping the IT team monitor usage and refine policies more effectively.
