Autohaus Timmermanns - Customer Case Study

Autohaus Timmermanns GmbH, a BMW luxury car dealership with locations across Düsseldorf, Neuss, Kaarst, and Nettetal, needed a fast, secure, and centrally manageable guest and internal WLAN to support customer Internet access, iPad-based vehicle configuration, and day-to-day business operations. Its existing stand-alone wireless solutions from multiple vendors made administration difficult and left security and performance requirements unmet, prompting the company to seek a standardized solution from WatchGuard.

WatchGuard, working with IT-On.NET, implemented multiple WatchGuard access points along with an M300 UTM platform and WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud to deliver segmented guest, employee, administration, and workshop WLANs with centralized control, reporting, and advanced security features such as WIPS, Application Control, Gateway AntiVirus, and APT Blocker. The result was a fully segmented, reliable wireless network across all four sites, with ten access points tuned to different needs, automated rogue-device detection and alerts, and far less manual effort for IT.
