Pitt County - Customer Case Study

WasteWORKS recently welcomed Pitt County, NC as a new customer. Pitt County’s Transfer Station in Greenville handles residential, commercial, C&D, recycling and yard waste—more than 200 vehicles daily and 169,950 tons in FY 2014–15—and the county also operates 14 collection centers. Facing growing traffic and increasing state reporting requirements, Pitt County replaced an in-house MIS scale program after reviewing three vendors and selected WasteWORKS.

WasteWORKS installed the latest WasteWORKS-SQL package, providing a user-friendly interface and expanded reporting options with a smooth transition and minimal training. Scale attendants report the system is easier to operate and delivers better reporting, helping Pitt County manage inbound/outbound scales more effectively and supporting ongoing site improvements.
