Case Study: Omni Recycling of Babylon streamlines transfer-station recycling and billing with WasteWORKS software

A WasteWORKS Case Study

Preview of the Omni Recycling Case Study

Omni Recycling - Customer Case Study

Omni Recycling of Babylon, based on Long Island, operates an early‑opening transfer station that accepts municipal solid waste, construction debris and a wide range of recyclables from haulers, municipalities, landscapers and contractors. Their challenge was handling high volumes and diverse inbound materials while maximizing diversion from landfill and creating usable, marketable products from what would otherwise be waste.

Omni implemented on‑site processing solutions — grinding unusable pallets into shredded wood, dyeing the chips to produce saleable mulch, separating scrap metals from C&D loads, and composting yard waste into nutrient‑rich compost. These operations turned disposables into new revenue streams and reusable products for landscaping and construction, broadening service offerings and strengthening their market position.
