North Pointe - Customer Case Study

North Pointe Solid Waste Special Service District, serving more than 230,000 residents in Utah County since 1974, needed to modernize its transfer station and scale operations to improve throughput, accuracy and operator training. The district built a new scale house and facility in Lindon, Utah, to handle high daily volumes and accommodate both left- and right-driven trucks while protecting equipment from vehicle mirrors and debris.

To meet those needs North Pointe migrated to WasteWORKS-SQL and installed dual WasteWIZARD systems with three scales (two inbound, one outbound), using swing-arm mounts for durability. The automation now handles more than 150 of nearly 400 daily transactions, simplifies operator training, and provides robust daily and monthly reporting—supporting efficient management of the facility’s diverse waste and recycling services and more than 260,000 tons processed annually.
