Green Recycling Solutions, LLC is a Maysville, NC–based company founded in 2011 that recycles construction and demolition material and places non-recyclables in an onsite landfill. As the first North Carolina facility built under the 2007 landfill requirements with a recycling component up front, their challenge was to meet strict regulatory standards while maximizing diversion rates to extend landfill life—targeting about 65% recycling to achieve a 30-year landfill lifespan.

To meet that challenge they partnered with WasteWORKS and installed a purpose-built recycling building, modern processing equipment and WasteWORKS‑SQL software for fast daily reporting and customer-friendly billing. The result is a highly efficient operation—truck throughput of about eight minutes, consistent recycling rates meeting their 65% goal since opening in November 2014, new product lines (mulch, baled cardboard, crushed concrete, metal sales) and local recognition and grants that have helped position the facility as a model for other counties.
