Carolina Software welcomed the City of Elk City Municipal Landfill to the WasteWORKS family. Elk City, a growing trade center in western Oklahoma and a rising energy boomtown, needed to expand processing capacity and resolve the logistical bottlenecks caused by a single-scale setup as demand increased.

The city built a new scale house with two scales and installed WasteWORKS-SQL, doubling throughput, eliminating bi-directional traffic headaches, and streamlining operations. The upgrade not only meets current needs but also future-proofs the facility—providing long-term handling capacity (an estimated 32 years) and supporting Elk City’s diversion programs as the region grows.
