The City of Dallas’ Sanitation Services manages McCommas Bluff Landfill, a 2,000-acre facility handling about 1.4 million tons of waste annually and roughly 1,000 transactions per day. To keep throughput high and reporting and billing timely for such a large operation—with automated scale processing and growing sustainability initiatives—the city needed a consistent, efficient landfill management system.

Dallas upgraded to WasteWORKS-SQL and deployed WasteWIZARD automated scales, which significantly sped transaction processing (most customers are processed in under a minute) and shortened billing and report-generation times using built-in and custom reporting tools. The result was a streamlined operation with faster customer throughput, happier accounting staff, and plans to expand automated scale capacity for even greater efficiency.
