Waste Management Makes Investment in Security Services

Pro-Vigil, a provider of mobile surveillance and monitoring equipment, was looking to expand its reach into new markets while continuing to serve commercial and industrial customers with reliable security services. Waste Management, through its subsidiary WM Security Services (WMSSI), partnered with Pro-Vigil to help bring mobile monitoring technology to more customers.

Waste Management made a minority investment in Pro-Vigil and signed a marketing agreement under which Pro-Vigil provides the equipment, technology, and support while WMSSI markets the services. The solution enabled Waste Management to offer mobile surveillance units and monitoring beyond South Texas into Florida, the D.C. Metro, and Chicago, expanding Pro-Vigil’s territory and giving Waste Management customers access to real-time monitoring, improved safety, and better protection against theft and break-ins.
