Los Angeles International Airport - Customer Case Study

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) needed to keep its Tom Bradley Terminal renovations on schedule while managing heightened security requirements and meeting LEED environmental certification goals. Waste Management provided construction and demolition waste services to support the airport’s complex renovation work.

Waste Management created an alternate overnight bin-staging and service schedule, used background-checked, security-badged drivers to move bins, and sorted recovered materials at its recycling facility. As a result, the project achieved an 80% recycling rate documented for LEED purposes, and the demolition team received additional renovation phases, saying they would choose Waste Management for future projects.
