BARC, the Balfour Beatty-led joint venture working on the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport terminal renewal project, needed a waste and recycling partner that could meet strict diversion goals and provide highly detailed reporting for airport and board stakeholders. Waste Management was selected to support the project with construction and demolition recycling services, including its DARTSM real-time reporting tool.

Waste Management implemented a customized solution with detailed haul documentation, weekly rebate and metals market reports, specialty recycling containers, secure lock-and-key systems for high-value materials, and a full-time on-site debris monitor to manage diversion and logistics. The result was a more transparent, well-controlled recycling program that helped BARC maximize returns from materials like copper, wood, metal, concrete, and ceiling tile while meeting the airport’s sustainability and reporting requirements.
