Environment Agency - Customer Case Study

The Environment Agency, a UK public body responsible for flood risk, pollution control and water resources across more than 50 sites, struggled with inconsistent, manual tracking of maintenance parts and supplies. Engineers and sub‑contractors often had to travel just to confirm stock, leading to wasted time, extra cost and a larger carbon footprint.

By piloting and then rolling out InventoryCloud to all sites, the agency can now remotely monitor roughly 2,500 parts, get low‑stock alerts, track parts usage by job, and spot recurring defects. The cloud system reduced unnecessary trips (about three site visits saved per week), delivered approximately £72,000 in annual savings, eased onboarding with virtual training, and improved stock visibility and operational efficiency.
