Berry College Expands Cloud Strategy With Surveillance and Archival Storage

Berry College, a higher education institution, was struggling to manage rapidly growing storage demands from two departments: surveillance and marketing. Its surveillance systems generated 4–5 TB of footage every day, while decades of archived photos and videos were nearing capacity on local servers, creating retention, backup, and disaster recovery challenges. The college now keeps only several weeks of surveillance footage on-site for quick access while storing the rest in the cloud for retention and DR/backup purposes, and it can preserve decades of media without expanding physical infrastructure.
