Audio Post-Production House Adopts Global File Services for the Hybrid Workplace

Sonic Union, an audio post-production house, needed a better way to support a growing dispersed workforce when the pandemic forced work remote. Their existing on-premises file workflows and backups were built around the studio, making reliable access to large session files and client media difficult for remote mixers and assistants. Wasabi Technologies, working with Morro Data’s CloudNAS solution, was brought in to help centralize data and support hybrid work.

Wasabi Technologies and Morro Data implemented a hybrid cloud file system with Wasabi object storage and CacheDrive gateways at each worker site, giving staff fast local access to active files while keeping data synchronized across locations. The result was an integrated hybrid cloud storage system that enabled almost-synchronous collaboration across offices and remote employees, reduced backup and archive complexity, and let Sonic Union expand into new locations while keeping costs predictable with no egress or API fees.
