AMI Implements Media Archiving To Cloud Object Storage

AMI, a Canadian media company serving blind and partially sighted audiences, needed to move its valuable archived content from a robotic LTO tape archive to cloud object storage without disrupting operations. Working with Wasabi Technologies, AMI used XenData software to manage its existing archive and prepare for a tape-to-cloud migration.

Wasabi Technologies, alongside ROCKET and XenData, helped AMI transfer 60 TB of media files to Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage using a Wasabi Ball transfer appliance. The result was a quick, seamless hybrid archive with content synchronized across LTO and cloud, improved accessibility and security, and significant savings in operational and support costs.
