Manisa Organised Industrial District (mosb) delivers 85 MW of flexible power with Wärtsilä Energy

The Manisa Organised Industrial District (MOSB), a large industrial park in Turkey, needed to replace and extend its existing diesel power plant. They engaged Wärtsilä Energy to build a new, more efficient facility that could change fuels from oil to natural gas.

Wärtsilä implemented an 85 MW power plant under an EPC contract, utilizing three 50DF dual-fuel and four 34SG gas engines. This solution provided high efficiency through waste heat recovery for steam and district heating, and operational flexibility with dual-fuel capability. The plant achieved an 85 MW electrical output and eliminated the need for a deSOx system when running on cleaner natural gas.
