Strathclyde Partnership for Transport launches digital travel diary in time for April 2018 survey with Waracle

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT), the largest regional transport partnership in Scotland, faced the challenge of digitizing its paper-based travel survey diaries to improve data capture and processing. They partnered with Waracle to create a responsive multi-platform web application that would provide a better understanding of their commuters' needs.

Waracle developed an intuitive, mobile-first web app using Umbraco and hosted on AWS. The solution integrated PCA Predict for data validation and Google Maps for real-time journey input, which enhanced data quality and reduced administrative work. The digitized travel diary launched successfully, resulting in significant cost reduction, faster data processing, and more accurate insights for SPT.
