IPU Engages Parliamentarians With a Social Wall at Assembly Meeting

The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the global organisation of national parliaments, wanted a better way to engage parliamentarians and capture participation during its Assembly meetings. Working with Walls.io, IPU looked for a social wall solution that could help drive interaction in the room while also making event activity visible to people following along remotely.

Walls.io provided a social wall displayed on large screens during IPU’s assemblies, with moderation used to keep the content varied and relevant. The wall encouraged MPs to post more actively, helped IPU collect social activity in one place, and gave the team a “time capsule” of the event; in busy sessions, posts could appear as often as every five seconds. IPU said Walls.io was a fantastic on-site tool that clearly increased participant engagement and supported broader awareness of the organisation.
