How Cisco Handles Large-Scale Global Events That Span Multiple Time Zones

Cisco used Walls.io to support large-scale global events that spanned multiple time zones, including Cisco Leader Day and the company’s monthly all-employee Cisco Beat call. Their challenge was keeping thousands of distributed employees connected and engaged across 22 locations and 7 time zones, while making sure each region could participate equally in the same event experience.

Walls.io provided Cisco with a social media wall for hashtag-driven engagement, plus a second wall for hand-off videos during the follow-the-sun format. Cisco used the map theme, ambassador support, and event communications to encourage participation, and the results were strong: the Leader Day wall generated more than 9,000 page views, an estimated 115,000 people saw #CiscoLeaderDay posts, and #CiscoBeat mentions increased 107% on the day of the broadcast. Cisco said Walls.io became its go-to solution for global events.
