Airmeet Boosts Audience Engagement With a Selfie Contest

Airmeet, a virtual events platform, needed a better way to keep attendees engaged during its Events to Experiences summit and other online events. The team wanted to make participation feel more intentional, help attendees connect with one another, and reduce the one-sided, disconnected feeling common in virtual formats. To address this, they used Walls.io with Snapbar to bring social interaction and user-generated content into the event experience.

Walls.io helped Airmeet run a “Snap and Win” selfie contest by embedding a social wall and virtual photo booth into the event, promoting participation before and during the summit, and using Reactions as a voting mechanism. The result was strong audience involvement: Airmeet received dozens of selfies, hundreds of branded selfies were created, engagement and hashtag reach increased in real time, and attendees described the activity as fun and creative. Walls.io also helped turn the contest into a community-driven experience that encouraged networking and made the event feel more human.
