Swissquote selects the WALLIX Bastion to control access to its trading servers

Swissquote, the Swiss online bank, faced high-risk internal exposure: traders, admins and external providers had privileged access to critical trading servers, and the bank needed better ergonomics and traceability than its existing tool offered. To address risks from human error and potential malicious activity, Swissquote selected WALLIX’s AdminBastion privileged user management solution.

WALLIX deployed AdminBastion in a dedicated DMZ (installed February 2013) and about 15 people now use it to broker all trading-server access and record every action—helpdesk and external vendors must log in through WAB. The implementation delivered full traceability of trading movements, compliance with FINMA traceability requirements, stronger supervision of privileged users, and faster incident response, materially reducing insider-risk exposure.
