Case Study: Hospital Center De Niort achieves traceability and Digital Hospital compliance with WALLIX AdminBastion (WALLIX)

Niort Hospital opts for the WALLIX Bastion to strengthen and protect its information system

Hospital Center De Niort faced the challenge of protecting a large volume of sensitive patient data while granting nearly 60 external service providers and numerous internal privileged users controlled access to its information system. To meet traceability and regulatory requirements under the Digital Hospital program, the hospital selected WALLIX and its Wallix AdminBastion solution to act as an authentication portal and privileged access management gateway.

WALLIX implemented Wallix AdminBastion in a DMZ with an active/active clustered architecture and load balancing to provide 24/7 availability, session video recording, timestamped auditing and configurable password rotation. The deployment gave the hospital full visibility and control over about sixty external providers, validated its Digital Hospital compliance, and — according to the hospital — enabled monitoring of more than 140,000 secure server accesses in under three years, while local WALLIX support accelerated incident response.
