Case Study: Michelin Group achieves secure, compliant outsourced access with WALLIX AdminBastion

A WALLIX Case Study

Preview of the Michelin Group Case Study

Michelin opts for the WALLIX Bastion to secure the outsourcing of its sensitive information systems

Michelin Group, a global leader in tires and mobility services, faced the challenge of securing outsourced management of its sensitive IT systems while meeting strict traceability and regulatory requirements (PPST). To regain control and visibility over geographically dispersed third‑party administrators and shared accounts, Michelin evaluated vendors and selected WALLIX’s Wallix AdminBastion to manage privileged access and audit administrative activity.

WALLIX implemented Wallix AdminBastion after a successful PoC (July 2014), with installation in Feb–Mar 2015 and production from June 2015, covering about 100 servers (4 OS, 2 hypervisors) and roughly 100 technical administrators. The deployment—requiring only a few hours of training and two weeks to install—delivered one‑click access, granular privilege management, session recording and forensic analysis, enabling PPST traceability, faster incident investigation, low implementation cost and stronger compliance and operational control for Michelin. WALLIX’s solution integrated smoothly without disrupting operations.
