Case Study: Bordeaux Airport achieves secure, compliant remote access with WALLIX Bastion

Bordeaux Airport chooses WALLIX Bastion to secure its remote access

Bordeaux Airport, which serves 34 airlines across 113 network destinations and employs 215 people, faced rising cybersecurity and regulatory pressures: strict European airport rules, the need to protect passenger and operational data, and to control and monitor remote access for frequent third‑party application maintenance. Until recently, external providers accessed systems via VPN with limited visibility, leaving the airport unable to fully secure or audit third‑party maintenance and meet compliance requirements.

To solve this, Bordeaux Airport deployed WALLIX Bastion, WALLIX’s ANSSI‑certified privileged access management solution, with implementer NXO completing the rollout in February 2020. Managed by five administrators, the Bastion initially supported about ten simultaneous maintenance sessions and now routinely handles around twenty or more, and it enabled secure remote access for 80 employees during the first lockdown. Bordeaux Airport reports simpler implementation, easier day‑to‑day use, improved partner cybersecurity maturity, better visibility and compliance, and increased operational agility thanks to WALLIX.
