AXA chooses WALLIX IAG to control access rights and identities

AXA, a global insurance and asset-management group serving 107 million customers, faced the challenge of controlling and reviewing vast numbers of user accounts and access rights—managing employee movements, annual recertification campaigns, and revoking consultation rights across heterogeneous systems. To address this, AXA chose WALLIX and deployed WALLIX IAG to centralize identity and access governance.

WALLIX implemented an agile, delegated-administrator WALLIX IAG portal (used by ~100 users) with movement supervision, three-level pre-validation recertification, and revocation workflows. The solution let AXA model authorizations globally, extend reviews from a single mainframe to 150+ application systems, and demonstrate rights legitimacy to auditors—covering some 85,000 identities/600,000 accounts and improving remediation and compliance processes while reducing orphaned or unauthorized accounts.
