Revenera Improves End-Customer Service with Wallarm API Security

Revenera, a Flexera company (born as InstallShield) that supports >35,000 customers, undertook a cloud modernization—moving to AWS, consolidating access with Kong API Gateway, and protecting a mix of legacy and modern APIs (SOAP, REST, GraphQL). Their challenge was to find an off‑the‑shelf API security solution that could be quickly deployed, cover all protocols, and stop bad traffic at a single entry point; they chose Wallarm API Security to meet those needs.

Wallarm was deployed as a plug‑in to Revenera’s Kong gateway, delivering full protocol coverage, low‑touch automatic updates, and hands‑on support during rollout. From June–August 2023 Wallarm analyzed 1.13 billion requests and blocked 772,000 attacks (about one every 10 seconds), delivering zero incidents, now processing >12M requests/day and blocking ~8,400 hits/day—while reducing CPU load, improving rate limits for end customers, and adding near‑zero latency.
