A Waitwhile Case Study
Kidsignments, a large semi-annual consignment event in Lawrenceville, Georgia, had grown from a garage startup into one of the biggest events of its kind, drawing about 1,500 sellers and 10,000 shoppers per sale. But its popularity created hours-long lines, congested queues, safety concerns, and, during the pandemic, the added challenge of managing occupancy limits and social distancing.
Using Waitwhile’s queue management and appointment tools, Kidsignments digitized intake, capacity control, checkout, lunch breaks, staff flow, and seller pickup with QR codes, SMS alerts, and virtual waitlists. The result was smoother operations, better crowd control, and a more flexible shopping experience that helped increase seller sales, with organizer Jeri Lynn Cunningham saying the system was easy to learn and “line busting at its best.”
