A Wagestream Case Study

Preview of the Multinational Gym Case Study

Multinational Gym - Customer Case Study

Multinational Gym, one of Wagestream’s earliest customers (onboarded October 2018), was struggling with very high employee churn—historic trends projected annual attrition would reach 56.1% by the end of 2019. The gym engaged Wagestream to help retain staff and to measure the service’s impact on short‑term leaver rates.

Wagestream implemented its employee financial‑wellbeing/earned‑wage service and used historical data to predict and compare attrition. By the end of 2019 actual attrition was 52.7% (a 6.5% improvement versus the projection), delivering an estimated £518,000 in recruitment and hiring savings. Wagestream had the biggest effect on short‑term turnover: 30‑day attrition fell by about 39.5% and 31–90 day attrition by about 19.3% (July 2019 31–90 day attrition was 0.7% vs a predicted 1.4%, a £165K saving for that month).
