Vigon International, a fast-growing manufacturer and supplier of flavors, fragrances, and cosmetic ingredients, needed to automate sales processes that were still relying on spreadsheets, email, and an outdated ACT! system. With just five salespeople handling more than 1,000 customers and nearly 2,000 products, the company wanted better quote management, forecasting, pricing approvals, and meeting preparation. Vigon chose SugarCRM, with W-Systems as the implementation partner, because it needed a highly customizable CRM that could support its process-driven culture.
W-Systems implemented a highly customized Sugar-based sales and marketing automation solution integrated with Vigon’s ERP, Outlook/Exchange, and Constant Contact. The new system enabled fast pick-and-click quoting, automated pricing and approval workflows, real-time forecast updates, and automated customer meeting agendas and follow-up tasks. The impact was immediate: Vigon produced more than 1,000 quotes in the first month after launch, cut meeting agenda creation from over an hour to a few moments, and gained far better visibility into pipeline and customer history.
