Senao International Launches Online Store with AWS

Senao International, a Taiwan-based mobile and broadband retailer with more than 550 stores, needed to quickly launch an e-commerce site while meeting PCI DSS requirements, encrypting credit card data, and improving the reliability and scalability of its struggling CRM and POS systems. W-Systems helped support Senao’s move to AWS to address these challenges and speed up time to market.

Using AWS services such as AWS KMS, AWS WAF, AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFront, and S3, W-Systems enabled Senao to secure its web applications, automate monitoring and policy controls, and migrate CRM workloads to a highly available cloud environment. The results were strong: the e-commerce site launched in one month instead of nearly a year, CRM downtime dropped to zero in the first three months after migration, maintenance work fell from four hours a day to 90 minutes, and incident detection for website and POS issues became about 90% faster.
