A Vynyl Case Study
Vynyl partnered with the Global Brain Health Institute, a prominent California-based research institution, to address the challenge of underdiagnosing cognitive impairments. Existing assessment tools were culturally biased, difficult to scale, and not well-integrated with electronic health records, which limited their effectiveness across diverse patient populations.
The solution was the development of TabCAT, a digital cognitive assessment tool. Vynyl created this iOS application through a user-centered and iterative design process, resulting in a culturally sensitive and clinically validated product. The implementation led to a 40% increase in cognitive impairment diagnoses, with a 73% increase for Hispanic/Latino patients, and achieved global validation, demonstrating its significant impact on healthcare equity and accuracy.
