The Largest Canadian Food Retailer, one of Canada’s biggest grocery chains with 3,000+ drivers and about 1,400 routes per day, relied on a mostly manual, paper-based dispatch and fleet management process. Vuram stepped in to replace face-to-face and spreadsheet workflows that were error-prone, time-consuming, and difficult to manage during the COVID-19 push for a safer, contactless operation.

Vuram built a custom driver application on Appian to digitize check-in, route assignment, trip updates, timesheets, and reporting end to end. The solution improved real-time communication between drivers and dispatchers, reduced paperwork and manual data entry, enabled better route and time tracking, and helped the customer move quickly to a more efficient, paper-free process during the pandemic.
