VSee Custom Waiting Room and Telemedicine Carts

Regions Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center serving Minnesota and western Wisconsin, faced a challenge delivering timely telestroke and specialty consults to smaller partner hospitals that lacked dedicated video infrastructure and expensive hardware. To overcome this, Regions selected VSee and its peer-to-peer telemedicine offerings — including VSee telemedicine carts with PTZ cameras, an online waiting room, and a customized Regions Direct dashboard — to provide secure, low-bandwidth video consults accessible from phones, tablets, and laptops.

VSee implemented on-site-assembled telemedicine carts, a web-based waiting room with remote PTZ control and real-time CT sharing, plus a centrally managed consulting-physician dashboard and check-in system that fit into Regions’ existing call workflow. The solution removed the need for dedicated networks or custom OS hardware, centralized on-call management, enabled collaborative CT review and faster specialist access, and made telestroke consults scalable to rural partners — supporting more timely clinical decisions critical for stroke treatment.
