Miro, a digital whiteboard and collaboration platform, faced a challenge in optimizing its Google Search campaigns. The company was using a proxy metric for sign-ups, which did not accurately reflect the ultimate goal of converting free trial users into long-term paying corporate customers. To address this, Miro partnered with Voyantis to adopt a more predictive, value-based approach to its advertising.
Voyantis implemented a solution using its predictive AI platform, developing a custom model to forecast which trial users were most likely to convert into paying customers. This model, which achieved 90% accuracy, fed real-time predictions to Google's value-based bidding algorithms. The results for Miro were significant: a 30% increase in new paying customers, a 33% boost in predicted return on ad spend (pROAS), and a 35% increase in annual plan subscriptions, all achieved without increasing the campaign budget.
