Reducing Congestion at Antwerp Expo

Antwerp Expo, a major event venue hosting 60 events a year, faced significant congestion at its loading bay, limited visibility into vehicle arrivals, long truck wait times, and a manual check-in process. To address these issues, they turned to Voyage Control and its slot-based delivery appointment system.

Voyage Control implemented time-slot booking with set capacities for contractors, along with real-time driver contact and reporting on contractor punctuality. The results included drivers getting in within 5–10 minutes of queueing, exhibitors saving hours of waiting time, queue time reduced by 455 minutes, vehicles overstaying their slots down 31%, and no-shows down 15%, while average CO2 emissions also dropped by 7 kilograms.
