WDI Launches English Language Training Program for Refugee Employees at Chobani

Chobani, the international yogurt manufacturer, needed a way to improve English communication among its refugee and immigrant employees on the production floor. To support this challenge, Chobani partnered with Voxy to launch an English language training pilot program for 14 employees, using personalized language learning and ESL apprenticeship support.

With help from Workforce Development Institute, Voxy implemented a six-month digital English training solution that gave participants tailored language practice and a path to career advancement. The program aimed to improve workplace communication and retention, and successful graduates were eligible for a salary increase and promotion opportunities, though no quantified performance metrics were provided.
