Pierre’s Ice Cream, a premium ice cream maker and distributor, faced the challenge of improving already-strong service levels in a tough -20° Fahrenheit cold-storage DC while increasing accuracy, productivity and reducing training time. To avoid rebuilding infrastructure or upgrading its WMS, Pierre’s turned to Voxware and its voice-picking solution (Voxware 3 Voice Picking), using VoxStudio for workflow configuration, VoxConnect for WMS integration, and LXE HX3 voice-only wearables.

Voxware implemented a hands-free voice workflow with dynamic empty-location notifications and automatic routing so replenishment tasks are created and short picks are completed, and the system was live in five weeks.
