How Votacall Helped Orchid Insurance Before They Were a Custome

Orchid Insurance, a catastrophe-exposed property insurer serving more than 25,000 agents, needed a way to protect business continuity when hurricanes threatened its Florida headquarters. In 2015, as Hurricane Irma approached, Orchid was looking to move its communications technology to the cloud and ensure its teams could keep serving agents and insureds even during an emergency, with support from Votacall and its VoIP platform.

Votacall quickly onboarded Orchid Insurance in real time, set up efficient call routing for more than 60 employees, connected four office locations plus remote workers, and provided on-site implementation, training, and 24/7/365 support. As a result, Orchid maintained operations through Hurricane Irma, later weathered additional hurricanes and COVID-19 with ease, and improved call-center functionality, reporting visibility, and disaster recovery across its distributed workforce.
