How Votacall Executed Jewish Funders' DR Plan Before Installing Their Phone System

Jewish Funders Network, a nonprofit that helps Jewish funders maximize the impact of their philanthropy, was relying on a traditional on-premise phone system when it suddenly failed during the workday and could not be restarted. The organization needed a fast way to keep calls flowing and also wanted a more reliable long-term communications solution, so they turned to Votacall and its VoIP services.

Votacall first implemented a temporary disaster recovery fix by forwarding JFN’s calls to Votacall-owned numbers and using the Votacall GO! mobile app so employees could answer calls the same day. Votacall then installed new phone equipment, provisioned the full cloud VoIP system, and completed the number port shortly after; by the end of the next business day, JFN was up and running, with its existing numbers fully moved to Votacall and a documented DR plan in place.
